The Secretary/Coordinator of Education:
– Chair a committee composed of persons who lead in any form of Christian Education and/or study activity for our convention. The committee will include, but not be limited to the Congress President, Dean of our Congress, Chair of Ministers’ Conference, Chair of S. A. Pleasant Institute, Chairman of the Board of Texas Center for Biblical Studies (TCBS), President of TCBS, Rev. W.W. Jackson, Jr. and the Convention Secretary. Additional members will be included by the president as deemed necessary for more effectiveness in function.

– Under the leadership of the Secretary/Coordinator of Education the committee will lead in the development of a curriculum for convention study that will in fact aid in “Restoring The Word As Our Spiritual Foundation.” This should keep uniformity in convention study.

– The functional title of the Secretary is Secretary/Coordinator of Christian Education. The Secretary will lead in education. The secretary will lead in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs of study for our convention.

– Give guidance to the development of retreats, seminars, workshops, etc. that are designed to enhance the convention’s Biblical basis and/or foundation.

– Serve as liaison between the convention and Texas Center For Biblical Studies keeping the convention informed with TCBS of the schools activities, undertakings and endeavors.

– Search out and informed the convention of educational materials that may serve as secondary materials to our educational efforts. The Bible will be the primary source.

– Serve as consultant to all Auxiliary Leaders in the development of any special educational needs.

– Educational endeavors will be elevated to a higher level of ministry.

– General support for the function of this position is the burden of the convention. Specific support will be solicited for our convention as the need dictates.

– The Secretary/Coordinators may meet with moderators to inform them and solicit support for our educational efforts.

– Other duties may evolve and will be assigned to this position as deemed necessary by the president and/or secretary.
